Comcast rocks

At least in Manchester, Comcast has had incredible customer service.

In my current apartment in Manchester, I just pay for broadband (Cable TV is included in rent). I called Comcast tonight (Wednesday) and asked about transfering my service to the new condo (also in Manchester) Katie and I are moving to on Sunday. Not to mention, I needed Cable TV added to my service since cable isn’t included with rent at the condo.

The lady at Comcast couldn’t be more helpful. She put my new address into the computer, prepared the setup of my new services at the condo, scheduled someone to install my cable service on Sunday between 3 pm-5 pm, AND would disconnect my current service on Sunday.

So basically, I won’t be experiencing one second of downtime (well, there might be a delay between the services being disconnected and then connected back up that day, but no one will be using them since we are moving in).

Normally, the lady said people should call ahead two weeks to schedule a service move. I somehow managed to accomplish this with four days notice. She was even amazed there was an opening on Sunday for the cable guy to come by and install everything.

Nowthat is what I call service :)

Firefox 1.0 PR & Thunderbird 0.8 released

The preview release of the best browser on the planet, Mozilla Firefox 1.0 PR, has been released, along with a big update to version 0.8 for the Mozilla Thunderbird e-mail client. Enjoy!

Oh and check out SpreadFirefox.com

Beach

Katie and I are planning to head to Hampton Beach today to relax. Might not be the hottest day to go, but we can still relax and have a good time. I plan on bringing my Cisco studying books and really get to work on this stuff.

Today’s the big day for the office football pool too. Right now I have a 2-0 record, which is what 18 others have right now. I won’t be able to check it out until later tonight to see how I did.

Later tonight, I will be helping get Radio SNHU back on the air. The web site is down right now, but it probably will be back up around 8pm.

Mushroom Cloud Reported Over North Korea

Before I went to bed, I decided to check Slashdot one more time for some odd reason.

I wish I didn’t: Mushroom Cloud Reported Over North Korea

I think we invaded the wrong country. A world with North Korea in possession of nukes (if it turns out this was a nuke test…which the chances are pretty slim it isn’t) is extremely dangerous.

Another round

Asa has announced another round of candidate builds for Firefox 1.0 Preview Release!

Even better, a bug I reported appears to have been fixed :)
