Hello. I first saw your thread on Neowin and decided to look here. Congratulations on your iMac. I bet it’s the new one with an iSight camera.
What’s the noise level at. Is it dead quiet like tolerable to sit infront of even when doing tasks such as maybe importing a CD in iTunes or starting the visualizer in iTunes. I have major issues with my iMac and its noise level, but then again it’s also a revision a - and without iSight.

I think you may have an issue when imorting your e-mails from your Windows machine. I did not have any success in doing so, rather I used Gmail to forward my mails and then sending them again to my home e-mail account on my Mac. Good luck on everything Mac. You’ll love OS X to death I bet. I did. And do.

Welcome to the light side . I’ve had mine for over 3 months now and it’s been very much worth it. A lovely piece of kit.

I use NeoOffice as my office suite - it’s based on OpenOffice.org and is 99% the same, but it works more like a Mac application. It’s just a bit slow and clunky.

OpenOffice has a Mac version. It’s open source and free. I use it on my old G3.

Welcome to the club. Your going to love it here.
I highly suggest more ram. OSX really does shine when you have more RAM.
Also, for Word Processing, I highly suggest Microsoft Office. It’s a much better product than it’s windows counterpart.
