I am working on getting together lists of various sites, services, products, podcasts, etc. that I recommend to those who read this site. Hopefully someone will discover something that they will enjoy.
Podcast Recommendations
- This Week in Tech (Top tech podcast on the Internet)
- Macbreak Weekly (A recap of the week’s Mac news)
- The Apple Phone Show (a promising podcast that focuses on the iPhone)
- Windows Weekly (a great podcast on the latest in Microsoft news)
Software Recommendations (Mac)
- Firefox 3 (My favorite web browser for Mac OS X and Windows)
- iTunes 7.6 (the only way to listen to music & podcasts and sync your iPod)
- Parallels Desktop (Best way to run Windows on the Mac)
Dashboard Widget Recommendations:
- Airport Radar (easy way to see the signal strength of wireless networks in your area, complete with if they are secure and what wireless channel they are on)
- Radar in Motion (Perhaps my favorite Dashboard widget. You can add multiple radars to keep track of storms in your area. For example, I have a national radar and a New England radar view that rotates every 10 seconds. Easy to figure out if you have a storm heading your way.)
